Customer Reviews
Average Customer Rating:
Truly an awful book by a terrible author. 2007-07-01 I don't doubt that Gaskell knows thermodynamics but I must say his ability to convey that knowledge in what is supposed to be an introductory book is just downright awful. I was forced to use this book in college and it was easily in the top two or three worst text books I've ever encountered. Gaskell has the unique ability to make a difficult subject like thermodynamics incomprehensible. If your professor is suggesting the use of this book, tell him to write his own because it couldn't possibly be any worse. I wouldn't give this book to my worst enemy.
