Editorial Review:
The evolution and differentiation of the continental crust pose fundamental questions that are being addressed by new research. In addition to advances involving geophysics and geochemistry, many new insights into crustal processes have been triggered by combined field observations and laboratory experiments, supported by developments in numerical modeling. Contributors to this volume, accordingly, summarize relevant progress for advanced students and research workers. Cached date: AWS Called=true

Evolution and differentiation of the continental crust 2007-08-31 This book presents excellent up-to-date reviews of field, petrological and experimental works related to the generation of the continental crust. It is well illustrated. Each of its 14 chapters reports a extensive number of references. One interesting point is the discussion about the continuous vs sporadic and the juvenile vs reworked nature of the continental crust since the Archean time. Each chapter was written for specialist and thus the book is recommend for advanced courses of igneous and metamorphic petrology.
