Editorial Review:
For nearly 20 years, Mineralogy of Arizona has been respected as the definitive reference on Arizona minerals. Now completely revised and greatly expanded with breathtaking new color photographs, the third edition covers 232 minerals discovered in Arizona since the first edition, including 28 first identified in the state.

Indispensable tool for interested geologists 2008-11-25
This is an incredible book for anyone interested in the mineralogy of Arizona. While it may be too technical for some amateur geologists, most individuals will be able to appreciate what this book has to offer. Not only does it have a listing of every mineral ever recorded in Arizona, but it tells what the mineral is and the exact locations where they were found. Also included are maps and discussions of the state's geology.

But I will return to my previous statement that it may be too technical for some. If you are looking for a simple guide to Arizona, look elsewhere. But if you are looking for one of the most extensive mineral books for the state, look no further.

Not what I expected 2007-11-07
I had expected a book useful to the lay person. This book is probably only of use to professional geologists or people highly educated in mineralolgy. I had hoped for a book that would educate me on the wonderful minerals that occure with such abundance in Arizona. This wasn't it.
