C=0 should be a consideration for all companies seeking a simpler alternative to the old Mil Std 105e, current Z 1.4. Its plans eliminate acceptance on anything but 'zero', as well as dual sampling alternatives. If your incoming products lend themselves to low risk, you may want to consider the system proposed and tested in this small publication. It's been around for many years, comes with the applicable OC curves, and was recommended to me by another QA user. It is also availabe through ASQ.
The plan reduces the number of samples required.  1998-07-31
The book offers a well-reasoned, easy to understand statistical approach to sampling which reduces the number of samples required while maintaining high quality standards. The plan specified in the book is equivalent to MILSPEC plans, and saves time and money.
