CHRISTIANS, PLEASE DON'T BE STUPID!  2008-09-23
There are many useful creationist resources out there, but this is not one of them! I picked up this book at my mother-in-law's place, and couldn't believe what I was reading. This is possibly the single worst creationist book in existence. This book is EXACTLY what evolutionists think of when they claim creationism is ridiculous. I am amazed at all the five-star reviews this book is getting. I know those reviews are coming from people who don't care whether the book makes any sense, they just want to feel like they are being faithful. I'm begging you, as a Christian, to not read this book, much less show it to friends. We have embarrassed ourselves enough! Instead take a look at credible creation science resources like AnswersInGenesis.org. If you want to show that Creationism is a real possibility, stay away from this mess!
A stunning presentation of truth and history  2008-06-24
No other resource I have seen so well blends the Biblical truth of man's history with visual elements. This is truly a stunning and captivating array of illustrations, charts and photographs stretching from the very creation through ancient civilizations, displaying the handiwork of God. Dennis Petersen brings forth his gifts and scholarship of scripture and science in a unique way that will appeal to any age and satisfy the inner sense of truth. Good science is showcased and false science is exposed. This is a beautiful book that every family with school age children should have and read through with their children so they understand creationism, it's validity and know how to detect lies that will bombard them from school and media. It is laid out in an easy to use and eye appealing format.

Shake Up Old Thinking, Stimulate Your Mind--Not Meant to be a Scientific Journal 2008-04-21
This book was so fascinating! As a Christian that was taught in the public system, I had a lot of assumptions about the beginning of the world, man's intelligence then vs. now, how dinosaurs factor in, and other questions that are at odds with the Bible. This book shook up my thinking and helped me to see how pervasive the influence of evolution is in our worldview and to see things from a logical Biblical perspective.
This is not meant to be a scientific journal, which is why it was so inviting. That doesn't mean it lacks validity--there is a lot of amazing factual and scientific information.
Others have said that the science is a few years old, but if the world is millions/billions of years old anyway, what's a decade going to do in making the research illegitimate?
Another criticism that should be discarded by Christians is that the book doesn't argue as evolutionists would appreciate. So what!? It's not our job to begin with phony and false ideas and try to debunk them using their own unreliable methods, but rather to start with the TRUTH and show how evidence supports that truth. It's time we start leading the discussion rather than get on the defensive knocking down the myths created by the other side.
